This course introduces and explains the new functions, significant changes, and enhancements made to CICS TS Version 3.2. The course provides attendees with a springboard to enable the exploitation of new features such as Web services (server and client), HTTP/1.1 opportunities, channels and containers design and utilization, RD4Z Service Flow Modeler Build-Time, and CICS Service Flow Run-Time.

Describe and exploit CICS as a Web service provider and as a Web service requester
Describe and exploit HTTP/1.1, Pipeline, Persistent Connections, Chunking, and Virtual Servers
Define and deploy the new RDO objects: PIPELINE, URIMAP, and WEBSERVICE
Overcome COMMAREA limitations via channels and containers
Analyze and move to OTE exploitation for Threadsafe programs using L8, L9, X8, and X9 TCBs
List all of the ancillary and miscellaneous changes, such as CPSM WUI enhancements, Infocenter, and SIT changes
